Some things were meant to be...

We were married on July 22, 2006, at Healdsburg Country Gardens in Healdsburg. Justin Bruns, Kasey's brother-in-law, officiated the ceremony. This day was truly memorable for many reasons, but notably the weather. It was 112 degrees in the shade.
Jeff and his mother, followed by the wedding party walked down the aisle to the instrumental version of the song "Bittersweet Symphony". Kasey and her father followed walking down the aisle to the theme song from the Princess Bride, "Once Upon a Time in a Storybook Love." After a reading of a Native American tale about the magic of butterflies we released 22 butterflies, native to California. The butterflies remained present throughout the ceremony into the reception as they enjoyed the beautiful gardens. The rings were then exchanged. Both Kasey and Jeff suprised each other with unexpected wedding bands. Justin announced us as husband and wife and Jeff kissed his bride. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff DeFranco were then announced and the party began. It was quite a lively party with dancing going into the evening.
After we became husband and wife we left on the trip of a lifetime. We honeymooned in French Polynesia for two weeks, visiting Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora. We concluded our honeymoon whitewater kayaking on the Trinity River.
The trip was then over, but the honeymoon had only just began.
